A320 Type Rating Courses
We don’t think we’re exaggerating when we say that the two type ratings a commercial pilot must have to be successful are for the Airbus A320 family and the Boeing 737 family. These are the two most common planes for commercial passenger transportation in the world, and with a type rating for both of them, you will be extremely marketable as a pilot.
While the 737 was the first aircraft to surpass 10,000 units produced, the A320 is not far behind. With Boeing’s unfortunate experience with the 737 MAX, the future of the 737 line is up in the air. That means it is more important now than ever before that pilots have both a 737 and A320 type rating, as more and more airlines are switching to Airbus crafts.
With an A320 type rating, in most cases, you will be qualified to fly any craft with the same or similar flight deck, including the A318, A319, and A321, as well as some business jets.
A330 Type Rating Courses
The A330 is less common by the numbers but is an essential aircraft for long-range, high-capacity flights. If you are planning to fly internationally, this is a good Airbus type rating to have under your belt. Reach out to learn more about our FAA-certified pilot training courses for the A330.
Cross Crew Qualification, or CCQ, is a way for current pilots to easily expand their type ratings. With our CCQ training, you must already have a commercial pilot certificate with appropriate category and class ratings, as well as an instrument rating. You also must have previously been qualified with the A320 or A330 as pilot-in-command or second-in-command. If you are looking for CCQ courses, we’d love to provide you with more information.
